Funding Hub · Monaco
Monaco backs its companies with innovation grants, interest-free loans, loan guarantees, interest subsidies, state investment and export support. Here is every public funding route in the Principality, from your first office to your first market abroad.
Where to start
The Monaco Fund for Innovation co-funds feasibility studies with grants and product development with interest-free loans.
The Government’s incubator, where selected start-ups can also receive a launch grant for their first innovative phase.
An interest subsidy on professional loans and the Monegasque Guarantee Fund make bank finance cheaper and easier to obtain for young companies.
SACDE, the Government’s own investment company, can take stakes in innovative Monegasque companies and add loans.
A repayable advance covers most of the cost of prospecting new export markets, repaid only from the profits you make there.
Monaco firms join Horizon Europe consortia with the Government funding their share, and the Fonds Bleu supports digital transformation.
First-time entrepreneurs who are Monegasque nationals, or the spouse or partner of one, can also get help with rent and social charges for up to three years. Checked against official Monaco Government sources on 28 October 2026.

Most schemes require a company established in Monaco, whoever owns it. The business start-up grant is reserved for Monegasque nationals and their spouses or partners. Setting up locally first is usually the key step.
Not to the EIC Accelerator on its own: Monaco is neither an EU member state nor associated to Horizon Europe. Monaco companies can join collaborative Horizon Europe projects, with the Prince’s Government funding up to 50% of their eligible costs.
Most are handled by the Business Development Agency at the Monaco Business Office; the Guarantee Fund and SACDE go through the Budget and Treasury Department. Members get the contact route for each programme.
